Right of Reply
If you, or an organisation you represent, are named or described in one of our pieces, you can respond. We read every response.
Spotted a factual error rather than wanting to respond? See Corrections.
What we publish about people
Our reporting and analysis draw on the public record: court and police records, official data, and reporting by other outlets, which we credit and link in the text. We don't publish an allegation that isn't already on the public record, and where a person or institution has responded publicly, we include that response.
How we handle a response
- A relevant response is added to the piece fairly and in proportion.
- It is marked as an update, with the date.
- If your response shows that something we published was wrong, we correct it, as set out in our corrections policy.
